Amazon has surpassed its original goal of 2 million books to be reviewed by the popular website, the retailer said Thursday.
The goal was set in November and was met within 48 hours of Amazon’s announcement.
In less than a day, more than two million books were reviewed by Amazon.
The 2 million book review mark marks the most Amazon has achieved in 24 months, and it surpasses the previous record of 1.5 million reviewed books set in September, which was reached in May.
Amazon also said it would expand its review service beyond the Kindle app.
Amazon has more than 6,000 reviews for the Kindle, with more than half of those being written by authors.
